และปรากฎว่า Beyonce กลายเป็นศิลปินที่ได้เข้าชิงรางวัลมากที่สุดถึง 9 สาขาด้วยกัน ตามมาด้วย Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa และ Roddy Ricch ที่มีชื่อเข้าชิงคนละ 6 สาขาเท่ากัน

ในขณะที่ Brittany Howard นักร้องนำวง Alabama Shakes ที่ผันตัวมาออกอัลบั้มเดี่ยวก็เซอร์ไพรซ์ด้วยการมีชื่อเข้าชิงถึง 5 สาขา ส่วน Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber ก็มีชื่อเข้าชิงในครั้งนี้ไปคนละ 4 สาขาเช่นกัน

นอกจากนี้ วงเคป๊อปแห่งยุค BTS ยังสร้างประวัติศาสตร์ด้วยการเป็นศิลปินเกาหลีใต้กลุ่มแรกที่ได้เข้าชิงรางวัลแกรมมี่อีกด้วย โดยพวกเขามีชื่อเข้าชิงในสาขา Best Pop Duo/Group Performance จากเพลง Dynamite

สำหรับงานประกาศรางวัลในครั้งนี้จะมีขึ้นในวันที่ 31 มกราคม 2021 (ตามวัน-เวลาของประเทศอเมริกา)
